CAMP COUNSELORS

IRC seeks experienced rowers to serve as coaches for summer youth camps.  Summer youth camps run throughout June, July and August and serve youth ages 8-16.  Ideal candidates should be high school graduates with outgoing, positive attitudes, a love of rowing, enjoy working with youth. Candidates will be moving equipment, setting up for activities, coaching rowing, leading outdoor activities, tracking rower progress and creating a positive, safe environment for the campers.  Applicants must pass a background check and be certified in CPR and first aid prior to the start of camp. SUMMER COACHING INTERN

IRC seeks summer interns to coach adult rowing classes and to assist with daily operations at IRC.  The position requires significant outdoor work, irregular and weekend hours, possible regatta travel as well as physical labor.  Intern will play a significant role in executing a variety of membership activities and programs.  Ideal candidates will be positive, encouraging, organized, and coachable, have a passion for rowing, enjoy working with people, and possess strong rowing and communication skills.  Collegiate rowing or coaching experience preferred. Boat trailer driving, boat repair skills and database skills are desirable.  Applicants must pass a background check and be certified in CPR and first aid prior to the start of the position.  Please send a letter of interest, resume and contact information for two character references to jen@indyrowing.org.
