Adult Rowing
Adult rowing is a program offered by IRC that is free to all IRC members. The annual membership fee is $300 and the calendar year goes from March-March. IRC members receive discounts on classes offered, and access to IRC equipment at the boathouse. Please see our membership page for information about becoming an IRC member.
Adult rowing is a fun and lighthearted class. The primary focus of adult rowing is to help individuals achieve their personal fitness goals, and to provide a structured environment in which individuals can improve their rowing technique and increase their knowledge on the sport of rowing.
Adult rowers have the opportunity to compete twice during the year at two of IRC’s hosted events: The Head of the Eagle (in the fall) and the Indianapolis Indoor Rowing Championships (in the winter). Competition in these events is not a requirement.
Adult rowing is currently operating indoors and is being held at the Riviera Club in Broad Ripple. IRC is paying the Riviera Club a facility fee for use of a designated erg room. As a result, IRC members and juniors have to pay a winter training fee to cover IRC’s cost of renting the erg space. IRC members will pay $100 for the winter training season (Dec. 1 through March 3rd). Register Here
Non-members of IRC are welcome to join for winter training at the Riviera Club! There will be a flat fee of $200 for the 3 months of winter training. You are welcome to try us out for up to 4 sessions (Dec. 5, 7, 12, and 14) from 6:15-7:30pm. Please show up or contact Jen at 317-327-7100 or jen@indyrowing.org for more information.
