In addition to competing across the region with the competitive youth and masters teams, IRC hosts a signature regatta each season as listed below. These signature regattas are possible thanks to many IRC volunteers and community members. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact us!
IRC also hosts a number of national and regional events for USRowing, The Big Ten Conference, NCAA schools, regional colleges, and regional high schools. Dates for these events are listed on the IRC Calendar
The Indianapolis Indoor Rowing Championships

The Indianapolis Indoor Rowing Championships is sponsored by Concept2 and is a satellite regatta for the C.R.A.S.H. -B. Sprints World Indoor Rowing Championships. Concept2 will provide round trip tickets to Boston for up to four (4) qualifiers who win their event at the Indianapolis Indoor Rowing Championships and have a time at or below the C.R.A.S.H. -B. Time Standard.
The event is held in the gymnasium of the International School of Indiana (4330 N. Michigan Road, Indianapolis, IN 46208).

State of Indiana Regatta

Indianapolis Rowing Center will serve as the host site for the 2011, 2012 and 2013 Big Ten Rowing Championships. It will feature seven Big Ten Schools – Indiana, Michigan State, Wisconsin, Iowa, Minnesota, Michigan, and Ohio State. More information can be found here.

Head of the Eagle

The Head of the Eagle is an annual regatta which features many local collegiate teams and high school rowing teams. It is a head race and begins in front of Ricks Boatyard Cafe and finishes in front of the Marina in Eagle Creek Park. More information can be found here.
