Indoor Rowing Championships

GENERAL INFORMATION:

The 2012 Indianapolis Indoor Rowing Championships will be held January 28th at the International School of Indiana:  4330 North Michigan Road, Indianapolis, IN 46208

Registration will be on RegattaCentral.  The entry fee is $25 and includes an event t-shirt for all pre-registrants.  The registration deadline on RegattaCentral is Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at midnight (EST).  Late registrants and walk-in’s are welcome, but you must register by 9am on race day.  Please contact Eric Stoll (estoll@sbcglobal.net) if you are registering late.  There are only 150 event t-shirts, so if you are registering the day of, you will not be guaranteed a t-shirt. 

Doors open at 7:45.  Racing to start at 9am.  Team Relays begin at  2PM.

A signed IRC waiver and photo release waiver  is required.  Please download, print and sign.  You can submit these at the race or by mail prior to the event.  Our mailing address is:  IRC, PO Box 53223, Indianapolis, IN  46253. 

The Indianapolis Indoor Rowing Championships are a satellite regatta for the C.R.A.S.H.-B. Sprints World Indoor Rowing Championships held in Boston in February.  Concept2 will provide the airfare for up to four (4) participants who meet the qualifying times for C.R.A.S.H.-B.’s.

There will be events for open, juniors, masters (ages 30-49), veteran/golden eagle (ages 50+), lightweights, adaptive and novice.  Prizes awarded to the winner of each category.  JLRacing will also be supplying certificates to all competitors and to winners of each event.

Back by popular demand, there will be a co-ed 2k relay race and a Crossfit co-ed 2k relay race!  Each team is comprised of 4 rowers (2 men, 2 women) and each person rows 500 meters.  The winning co-ed relay team wins a new Concept2, Model D, Indoor Rowing Machine!  The winning CrossFit co-ed relay team wins four (4) learn to row classes on the water.  Are you fast enough?
