Junior Summer Rowing (JSR)
Cost: $200
Class Time: Monday-Friday, 6:00am-8:00am, June 1-July 17
Description: JSR is for experienced junior rowers who wish to continue rowing throughout the summer. The focus will be to maintain or improve rowing fitness levels, develop small boat rowing skills and become accustomed to sculling. The goal is to race at USRowing Club Nationals in Camden, NJ July 11-15.
Requirements: Participant must be 12-18 years of age, pass a swim test (if not, a life jacket will be worn) and has completed at least a season of novice rowing.
Novice Junior Summer Rowing (NJSR)
Cost: $120 for 4 weeks or $30/week
Class Time: Monday-Friday, 4:00pm-6:00pm, June 4-June 29. Rolling admission permissible, IRC will pro-rate the cost.
Description: NJSR is for participants who have never rowed before or with less than one season of novice rowing beneath them. The focus will be to familiarize the students with the rowing stroke, the terminology, safety in and around the boathouse, and care and maintenance of equipment.
Requirements: Participants must be 12-18 years of age, pass a swim test (if not, a life jacket will be worn out on the water), and has never rowed before or has completed less than a season of novice rowing.
High School Sculling Camp (HSSC)
Cost: $100
Class Time: Monday-Friday, June 25-29, 9:30am-11:30am
Description: HSSC is for experienced sweep or sculling high school rowers who want to improve their sculling skills.
Requirements: Participants must be 12-18 years of age. The class will be limited to 10 rowers.
Midge Camp
Cost: $150
Class Times: June 11-13, 9:00am-3:00pm or July 23-25, 9:00am-3:00pm
Description: Midge Camp is a 3 day camp for children ages 7-11. The children will learn about rowing, the equipment, safety in and around the boathouse, care of the equipment, and team building skills with their teammates. Participants will learn the rowing stroke on the ergometers (erg) then head out onto the barge (training boat) for some rowing! Children will be required to bring a lunch and water bottle.
