Junior Daily Practice Plan

Practices during the fall and spring are Monday through Friday from 4:30 - 6:30 pm at the Indianapolis Rowing Center Boathouse in Eagle Creek Park.

4:30 - 4:40 Practice preparation

The captains will prepare the team for practice by taking oars down to the dock, setting up launches, and warming up on land.

4:40 - 4:45 Boat Meetings

The coaches will go over the practice plan each day. This meeting helps assure that everybody understands what will be happening at practice.

5:00 - 6:15 On the water (weather permitting)

6:15 - 6:30 Boat meetings and clean-up

The rowers will meet with their coaches to go over what occurred during practice. Rowers will be expected to put away any equipment that they used during practice and to help break down launches if required.
