Junior Rowing (6th - 12th Grade)
The Indianapolis Rowing Center Junior Program is a competitive rowing team for middle and high school athletes, male and female, in grades 6 through 12. We are a USRowing registered club drawing over 80 athletes from 28 Indianapolis area schools.
IRC Juniors is emerging as a dominant program in the Midwest region, with multiple entries to the Youth National Championships the past few years. The training program runs year round, with longer races (5 kilometers) held in the fall and sprint races (2 kilometers) held in the spring. The summer and winter are dedicated to fitness training.
Many of our club's rowers continue their rowing careers at colleges such as Notre Dame, Indiana University, George Washington, Eastern Michigan, The Ohio State University, UCLA, Seattle Pacific University, University of Oklahoma, and Boston University.
