Junior Rowing (9th - 12th Grade)

The Indianapolis Rowing Center Junior Program is a competitive rowing team for high school athletes, male and female. We are a USRowing registered club drawing 80+ high school athletes from 28 Indianapolis area schools. We also offer a middle school program for 6th - 8th graders

IRC Juniors is emerging as a dominant program in the Midwest region, with multiple entries to the Youth National Championships in the past few years. The training program runs year-round, with longer races (5 kilometers) held in the fall and sprint races (2 kilometers) held in the spring. The summer and winter are dedicated to fitness training. IRC offers a learn-to-row summer camp for those who would like to give the sport a try.

Many of our club's rowers continue their rowing careers in college. IRC rowers have gone on to row at Notre Dame, Virginia, Princeton, Indiana University, George Washington, University of San Diego, UCLA, University of Pennsylvania, Michigan State University, Eastern Michigan, The Ohio State University, Seattle Pacific University, University of Oklahoma, Boston University and many more!
