Junior Fall 2021 Training
Registration coming soon!
Program: Varsity and Novice Junior Competitive Teams
Description: Our Novice Competitive Team is the first step into competitive rowing on the regional level. Athletes in grades 9 through 12 can start on the Novice Competitive Team without any prior rowing experience, and middle school athletes can be invited to join the team. This team is for new rowers who want to compete. Rowers on the Competitive Novice Team will transition to the Varsity Team after one year. Competitive sweep rowing (one oar per person) and sculling (two oars per person) is a sport that cultivates hardworking, dedicated athletes. We build on our values of grit, excellence, and team to create a positive team environment and a group of athletes that are team focused and like to win. Competitive novice rowers practice 5 days a week in the fall and spring and Varsity rowers practice 6 days a week. All competitive rowers compete in USRowing-sanctioned events held at local, regional, and national regattas.
